Update March 5 2024: Upgraded from 2 stars to 4 star review.February 2025, Heat pump was heating the pool to desired temp, hot tub would never... reach desired temperature. Online service request- Customer support was terrific this time, prompt answered questions, arranged for tech appt, advised of warranty of labor and parts would be covered.Juan arrived within a few days, diagnosed and replaced thermostat meter, with no trip fee or labor cost.This was a much better experience.October 12 2024; Online service request, call back in 48 hours, schedule 3 weeks out for service, plus $235 pre authorized. Unit under warranty for parts only. Unit is 4 1/2 years. Authorized the labor and 312 coolant for $1235.00. Final completion; December 9 2024. Two months from customer service contact.1. Tech was great - Juan, is an exceptional technician here on the North Coast of FL. He's overworked and needs a backup.2. Warranty service call of $235.00 is truly unacceptable! Period! It's under Warranty!3. Customer service department is HORRIBLE, I've never felt like bothersome customer, trying to communicate with a company that's boasting, made in the USA. Fix your customer service.4. There's known issues arising with your units. Had some concerns after the heat pump was installed. After making service ticket to have it repaired aquacal reached out within hours and scheduled... to come out within a day. Jeff Cameron showed up this morning to address my concerns with the heat pump and not only did he fix that issue but he also did a full test on the unit and found another problem and had that repaired as well. My Aqaucal CS40 stopped functioning on the second season, I phoned Aquacal Autopilot, Inc., spoke with a customer representative (Wayne) who... requested a brief video of the diagnostic playback. He advised me that there was a communication error between the unit and power supply. Under warrantee I received a new unit within 48 hours. I purchased a CS30-EXP0312=ECP0343 bundle which included a PoolSync Wifi Connector, unfortunately there were a few issues with the items over the... next two years but tech support was exceptional. I would call and they would try to resolve the issue over the phone and when that did not work they would replace the faulty item with no hassle and very expeditiously. Had a high water temp error in my aqua cal pool Heat pump. Called CS and was told it would be 2-3 days and someone would contact me to set up... service. The next day I get a call from Fabian Suarez and he will be by in 20 minutes to fix the unit. Fabian showed up on time and quickly fixed the problem. It was under warranty so there was no charge. Our pool heater stopped working 2 days before our guests were to arrive. I called AquaCal was initially told it would take 3-4 days to have a tech... come out. Josh, was punctual, extremely knowledgeable and fixed our heater perfectly after he completed his extensive diagnosis. We thought the problem was our... fan motor. Not so. A capacitor and two water sensors were out. If Josh is your service man, you are in super capable hands. And what a nice guy too. He actually took the time to explain to me what he was doing and why. Once the unit was fixed, he checked the pool water temps and the flow. He suggested to us a timeline maintenance program which will help us too.
